bio

Yaniza is a Jewish, biracial & bilingual singer-songwriter from New York City! She sings in English and Spanish and usually has a huge smile on her face :) Yaniza's tunes bring joy and sunshine to listeners through catchy lyrics meshed with pop sounds and acoustic undertones. Her self-directed music videos also captivate her audience through images of positivity and happiness.

Yaniza initially grew her fanbase by posting acoustic covers of pop songs on her YouTube channel, which consistently garners tens of thousands of views. Her covers have gained attention from popular sites such as PopSugar and Glamour in 2020. Yaniza’s original songs are also making great strides. She has had the opportunity to work with incredibly talented producers, including Gian Stone (Maroon 5, Ariana Grande), and Joe LaPorta (Shawn Mendes, Imagine Dragons). Yaniza’s most popular original songs include “Fly Away (Free Bird),” a chill ukulele tune at 70,000 streams and counting, and “Contigo,” her first Spanish/English bop bound to get stuck in your head! Yaniza’s songs have been covered by many indie music blogs, such as SheBOPS, Indie Witches, Wonky Sensitive and more.

Yaniza performs regularly in music venues all over NYC, and recently embarked on her first cross country tour. She signed with college booking agency, Degy Entertainment, in 2020 and has already played a number of virtual events through them. Whether it’s in-person or online, Yaniza consistently performs at festivals, radio shows, and colleges, while writing songs that encourage listeners to find joy in everyday life.
